The MiniDrive is an adapter for microSD cards which lets them fit seamlessly inside a MacBook. MicroSD cards are small devices with relatively large storage capacities. Combined with a MiniDrive they become the simplest & most person-friendly storage solution for a MacBook.
Which MiniDrive is compatible with my Macbook?
The SD card slot depth for each model of Macbook is slightly different. Our range of MiniDrives has each been individually engineered to fit perfectly flush in each model of Macbook. Please check the attached compatibility chart if you are unsure which MiniDrive will fit your Macbook.
How big is the MiniDrive's storage capacity?
The storage capacity you receive with a MiniDrive depends entirely on the microSD you use with it. The bigger the microSD card, the bigger the storage boost.
Which microSD card should I buy?
The choice of size and brand is entirely up to you but is only compatible with UHS-1 microSD cards (don't worry, you won't lose anything by not using a UHS-II microSD card. As a general purchase recommendation we suggest a class-10 microSD card to ensure zippier transfer speeds. We sell a range of SanDisk microSD cards that will serve your Minidrive well.
